Spanish Project Video 2
In Spanish class we read this Mayan legend of how the rainbow was created. I forget the name of the legend, sadly enough. Oh well I’ll find it out tomorrow. In any case we had to make an “interpretation of it”, so here it is. The story may be hard to follow if you don’t know Spanish. ;-p

Spanish Project Video
In Spanish class we read this short story called, “Currin and Finita”. It’s about a failed romantic rendezvous in Paris. These two kids try to get to Paris, but then in the end they go to this other town in Spain a couple hour’s train ride away. So we (Ben Feldkamp, Chris Kim, and myself) got together and attempted to redo the story about an alien. Enjoy.

Health Project Video
So here is the video that I shot with Tim Voight (he’s working the camera) and Sean Poluha on Friday (1/18/2008). It is not as good as the DVD version for obvious reasons.

I think the movie short turned out pretty well for about ten minutes of filming in -1 degree Fahrenheit weather. Hopefully we get some good feedback on this one and don’t look too much like fools.

The Scarlet Letter English Project
For those of you who don’t know what this is, it shouldn’t really concern you. This is part of a project me and my buddy Alex “Toupac” Toupal did for Honors English 11. We were supposed to create a soundtrack that would go to a movie version of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter.

Ok so this is the earth, and well the Nathaniel Hawthorne guy, ok. So I grabbed together the songs for the track list, and you can listen to it online …. here.

The track list, and a quick summary of what each track is for.

  1. Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd –> This is for the part during Hester’s first scaffold scene.
  2. Dragula (Hot Rod Herman Remix) by Rob Zombie –> This song encompasses how Chillingworth is feeling, while on a rampage to find out whodonnit. So … after he talks with Hester for the first time.
  3. Star Wars Imperial March by Metallica –> As Hester and Pearl are walking through the Governor’s mansion, the seat of all the Puritanical hypocrisy.
  4. Body Snatchers by Radiohead –> This metaphorically shows Dimmesdale’s internal conflict and punishment, as well as his illusions, through the lyrics and trippy sound.
  5. Eurofighter by E-Type –> The Trance theme that could possibly go with Dimmesdale, Hester, and Pearl’s nighttime encounter at the scaffold.
  6. Tarantula by Smashing Pumpkins–> The music hints at the heated discussion that Dimmesdale and Hester are having while Pearl is off with the animals.
  7. Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who –> As Dimmesdale returns back into town from the forest he realizes the Puritan lies.

Hopefully from this, you can get a general idea of where I’m going with this. Hope it helps with making a longer analysis. You can get the lyrics for the songs by pressing the “info” button on the music player. Make sure to have your pop-up blocker off. ;-]

I ended up getting a 52/50 on this. All right!
